Some months ago I blogged about the engaging payment of a fee (GEZ) for having a computer with access to the internet. I've got the feeling that at least some polititians in Germany will change their mind on that fee, especially since taking the initiative by the members of the christian democratic party.

On monday I read an article of golem.de, which reports Harry Carstensen, the prime minister of Schleswig-Holstein, to argue against these obscure GEZ fees, too. But the only argument he contributes to the ongoing discussion is the fact, that the public broadcasting services still don't offer their whole program via stream.

Hence, of course, the fees would be ok, if ARD, ZDF and the other ones provided all their stuff on the net . I still miss the point I mentioned in my last blog entry on this topic: what, if I don't want to see all their fucking stuff? If they're afraid I could watch their content, they shall stop providing it on the net!

...there must have been a point in time (I didn't notice it), when Amazon started to expand their eBusiness range on several kinds of drinking and food, as you can see on their english homepage, choosing the category Gourmet Food.

Wanna buy some milk, for instance?
Bananas, apples or peaches?
Iceberg lettuce, tomatoes or onions?

Have a look on the sections Customers who bought this item also bought as well as Product Features on each product page... a little curious to see marketing concepts working for books and other anorganic stuff applied on food.
I would really like to know, if somebody ordered some food via Amazon already, and how it looked like, especially the fresh goods. Five minutes ago, I tried to order two pounds of cheese. But, as I presumed, I couldn't get one. The site tells me:

A nice example how not to design user interfaces is OPAC, an online search engine used by university libraries. Lots of students and post-graduates are dissatisfied because of getting results matching to their request in a syntactical manner, but not being able to get the books and publications having the content they really need. What would have happened, if Amazon came along with such an interface?
David Walker, web development librarian at the Cal State San Marcos , implemented a look-alike frontend using Web-Service technology to get the book metadata from Amazon. Enjoy.

Im Gegensatz zu einem Radio oder einem Fernseher ist der Computer, auch der internetfähige, kein Gerät, mit dem der Benutzer beabsichtigt, Sendungen der öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunkanstalten zu empfangen. Die Tatsache, dass letztere nun ihre Streams (die eh niemand sehen will) ins Netz kotzen, ist nun wirklich deren Sache, ich wüsste nicht, wer sie dazu angehalten hätte. Aber dass die GEZ nun eben diese Tatsache ausnutzt, um für den PC Gebühren zu kassieren, ist für mich wirklich nicht mehr nachvollziehbar. Ich nutze den PC, ich nutze sehr massiv die Möglichkeiten, die mir durch das Netz zur Verfügung stehen, aber ARD- und ZDF-Streams gehen mir gepflegt am Arsch vorbei, genauso wie gestreamtes Radio.

Ich habe als Bürger ja auch nicht das Recht, Kindergeld einzufordern, weil ich zwei Eier habe und irgendwann mal ein Kind zeugen könnte.

Seit dem 18.03. dieses Jahres gibt es nun eine Vereinigung der Rundfunkgebührenzahler (unter dem Vorsitz der Rechtsanwältin Petra Marwitz), die die Interessen der Rundfunkgebührenzahler, insbesondere in publizistischer und juristischer Hinsicht vertritt. Diese Vereinigung reichte nun eine Beschwerde gegen den achten Rundfunkstaatsvertrag ein, in dem diese neue Regelung die GEZ betreffend wohl beschrieben ist. Ich weiß leider nicht, inwieweit da Chancen bestehen, etwas zu erreichen (bin schließlich kein Jurist, der das beurteilen könnte) - aber gespannt bin ich trotzdem.

Nachdem ich Clifford Stolls Kuckucksei als recht gut und spannend geschrieben beurteilt ins Regal gestellt hatte, dachte ich, dass ich seine Kritik an der schönen neuen Online-Welt auch lesen sollte, zumal ich vielen Dingen daraus ebenfalls durchaus kritisch gegenüber stehe. Ein Kapitel daraus hätte allerdings durchaus gereicht.

Nachdem ich das WordPress-Blog in den Kommentaren zugespammt bekommen hatte, suchte ich nach einer neuen Lösung (d.h. ein Blog installieren, drei Beiträge schreiben und dann Monate lang nichts neues hinzufügen). Und hier ist es nun. Ob ich nun fleißiger bloggen werde? Ich glaube nicht. Nur heute, denn heute ist Weihnachten, und Weihnachten über hat Andi Zeit. By the way: Fröhliche Schlafnachten, Ihr Weihmützen! Nochmal by the way: Auf die an dieser Stelle eingesetzte Software bin ich durch Bernds Blog aufmerksam geworden.
