One of my most favourite scenes of Family Guy. Peter is looking forward to play in a team, he's telling that he never had the pleasure to be part of a team since singing with the "Four Peters"...

At the beginning of december (05. - 10.12.2006), Tuebingen will be the place of a festival about chocolate. It is the first time for the chocolART festival to take place here, while in Perugia, a partner town of Tuebingen, it has a long tradition as annual event.

It will come up with several attractions:
  • The chocolate mile: chocolatiers will have their stands set up in the Old Town of Tuebingen.
  • The restaurants will offer a diversified sortiment of food and drinks around cocoa.
  • There should be a chocolate gala in the LTT, but there's still nothing to find about on their homepage.
  • The museum of Tuebingen will put an exhibition themed "Not only for the queen..." (this goes back to queen Charlotte of Wuerttemberg, she enjoyed visiting the old Café Walz with its specialities). It will show the sweet parts of Tuebingen's history in regard of the traditions of cafés, confectioneries, and bakeries.

I'm sure, that chocoholics will have enough possibilities to satisfy their addiction. ;-)

(Thanks to Toffi for this hint)

If you don't already know Dilbert, you should get to know him – especially, if you are employed in th IT sector – and enjoy your daily dilbert.

I just have to link some of the strips here, all about management: this one, this one and this one.

Some months ago I blogged about the engaging payment of a fee (GEZ) for having a computer with access to the internet. I've got the feeling that at least some polititians in Germany will change their mind on that fee, especially since taking the initiative by the members of the christian democratic party.

On monday I read an article of golem.de, which reports Harry Carstensen, the prime minister of Schleswig-Holstein, to argue against these obscure GEZ fees, too. But the only argument he contributes to the ongoing discussion is the fact, that the public broadcasting services still don't offer their whole program via stream.

Hence, of course, the fees would be ok, if ARD, ZDF and the other ones provided all their stuff on the net :-(. I still miss the point I mentioned in my last blog entry on this topic: what, if I don't want to see all their fucking stuff? If they're afraid I could watch their content, they shall stop providing it on the net!

A few days ago I finally updated the aphorisms from which you can read one each time when loading this site (look at the Fortune-Box on the right side). I still continue gathering funny and/or meaningful quotes, aphorisms, sayings and small extracts of long texts. So if you know some, please feel free to send them to me. This is also a good reason to use the new contact formular accessible via the link on the top of this page ;-).

...there must have been a point in time (I didn't notice it), when Amazon started to expand their eBusiness range on several kinds of drinking and food, as you can see on their english homepage, choosing the category Gourmet Food.

Wanna buy some milk, for instance?
Bananas, apples or peaches?
Iceberg lettuce, tomatoes or onions?

Have a look on the sections Customers who bought this item also bought as well as Product Features on each product page... a little curious to see marketing concepts working for books and other anorganic stuff applied on food.
I would really like to know, if somebody ordered some food via Amazon already, and how it looked like, especially the fresh goods. Five minutes ago, I tried to order two pounds of cheese. But, as I presumed, I couldn't get one. The site tells me:
*** We're sorry. The item can't be shipped to your selected destination. You may either change the shipping adress or delete the item from your order by changing its quantity to 0 and clicking the update button. ***
